       Lydia's gift for describing places, people, and characteristics is amazing! I felt like I was in the rooms she was describing, seeing what she saw. The descriptions of the people were so vivid I felt like I was looking into their faces and seeing into their hearts. In this story the struggle of being a christian in these end days is clearly presented. The scenes regarding the Rapture of the church were profound and chilling. For her first novel Ms. Long has presented her readers with a masterpiece of intense interest. Thankyou Lydia. When will the next book be released?

       I enjoyed this book very much. In fact, I couldn't put it down. I'm not much of a reader, but this book was different. It is an excellent written book and I can't wait for the sequel.

       This is an excellent written book. It is the type of book you cannot put down until you finish it. The characters seem so real you feel like you know them and you can relate to them. Even though this book touched on controversial issues, it was so tastefully done that it wouldn't offend anyone. Personally, I found certain topics convicting but not condemning. Most importantly, this book is very thought-provoking and makes you want to reach out to God.

       Having restored 2 older homes, I know the I am always interested in learning about the people that were ther before you. This book brought me to a time and place I have never been, but now feel I know so well. I will never be able to pass by an old mansion with out thinking of this book, and just wondering...
