Men in War
We will always be able to read about war in the history books, accounts of great battles, struggles for freedom and liberty as recorded by historians. Men in War offers the unique opportunity to hear the actual accounts as told my the men who carried the rifles, sailed the ships and flew the planes. The South China Sea, Meuse-Argonne, Tarawa, Sainte Mere Eglise, Kwajalein, Vosges Mountains, Saipan, Alsace-Lorraine, MuGia Pass, Remagen, Tinian, Chosin Reservoir, Philippines, Palau, Freidrickshofen, Burma, Con Thien, Phillipines, O-Bong-Ni Ridge, Leyte Gulf, New Guinea, Yalu River, Palau, Thailand and Inchon; places and names unknown to most of us. But war has etched them into our collective memories. The great battles of World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam are all here within the pages of Men in War. On land, on the sea and in the air, you'll laugh with them and you'll cry with them. And you'll be proud of them. Ordinary men with great challenges, forced by circumstances to meet. These are the survivors. They found courage and comfort through faith in God. These are their stories.
Sid Rich's
Biography:
Educated at the University of Texas and a fourth generation resident of Austin, Texas, Mr. Rich has been an executive with an insurance company, an association executive, the president of two different companies, a consultant and a registered Texas Lobbyist. Now he has turned his hand to writing. His fist book, Standing on the Promises was published by AmErica House. Men in War is his second effort and there are many more on the way.
It's a great read, I couldn't put it down. It's intriguing to hear the actual thoughts and fears of men in battle, from their own lips. And I liked the way Mr. Rich gives the reader the background and historical significance of these battles.-

I am so glad to see these stories in print. In the coming days, months and years, the men who lived these experiences will be gone and the memories will be lost forever. Every family should gather around a parent, read and study about what war is really like from the men who actually fought the battles. Just maybe, people will learn to talk it out instead of shooting it out. What a wonderful gathering of history. Thank you Sid Rich.-
