What's
New at PublishAmerica
2/19/02
BookTech
2002
PublishAmerica
is pleased to announce attendance at BookTech 2002 in
New York City, which is billed as the "largest
book technology event in North America."
At
the show, we were welcomed by numerous vendors and sponsors,
many exhibiting new digital printing technologies and
publishing industry products.
Two
of our predictions from long ago were confirmed over
and over at the show:
- EBooks
are still headed nowhere. It still remains next to
impossible to base a successful business model on
ebooks. People want to read real books.
- Digital
printing is heading up everywhere! Numerous, established
print industry titans and suppliers all say the same
thing: If they're not printing digitally now, they
will be soon.
