Barnes & Noble Book Signing
Pat Combs, author of A Journey With Direction has a book signing on June 15, 2:00 - 4:00 at Barnes & Noble.

Story Published
Sandra McGarrity, author of Woody will have a story published in God Allows U-Turns: A Woman's Journey. The anthology will be released in July by Barbour Publishing.

Book Signing for Contact With Gaia at Barnes & Noble
David Taylor will be signing copies and reading excerpts from his science fiction adventure set in a public elementary school, Contact With Gaia, at the Barnes & Noble in Rockville, Maryland (12089 Rockville Pike) on Tuesday, June 18th, at 7:30 PM.

Radio Interview
Kathleen Winkler, author of Marriage Bound will be interviewed on KFUO AM as part of their "Living Jubilee" program on June 3rd.

Exile Happenings
Kevin R. Paglia
, author of Exile announces that on Sunday May 19th he was featured in the Register Guard in the Oregon Writers section which consisted of a simple question and answer format about his book. Secondly, on May 23, Thursday, Kevin was on the local NBC station morning show talking about Exile. Finally, on Saturday, May 25th, he has a book signing that has been heavily promoted in this area at Testimonies.

The Writers Circle
Sharon Martin, author of Sisters Forever will be in Charleston at the Battery Park taping with Patti Just for The Writers Circle for SCETV on May, 24, 2002. This show will be used by High Schools and Middle Schools arcoss South Carolina. When it airs it will be on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and be seen by viewers all over S.C.. It is possible that it will be used by North Carolina too. This will be Sharon's forth t.v. appereance in South Carolina. She has been on Fox TV in Florence, Channel 16 in Greenville, and Channel Four in Greenville. She has been in four newspapers- Golden Strip, Florence , Hartwell-Ga., Goose Creek (Charleston area). And finally, Sharon has had one public speaking event at an Art Council in Hartwell,Ga. this past March.

Kevin P. Grover, author of "Strike Hard" will be conducting a booksigning at the Media Play on Morse Road in Columbus Ohio on June 15th from Noon to 3 PM.

On April 29, 2002 Lynn Barry promoted her novel Puddles over the airwaves via radio station WZKZ in Alfred, NY.

Appearance in Magazine
Kelly Steed
, co-author of Stasis, had a Haiku published in the March-April issue of In Buddha’s Temple. She also had her nonfiction story Sister Savior accepted for future consideration for publication in the anthology Chalkdust on the Sleeve of My Soul and for possible online publication on Chalkdust-Online.

In Search of Great Uncle Pat: Titanic Survivor Update
John Nolan, author of In Search of Great Uncle Pat: Titanic Survivor, reports that during the week of April 15th, 2002, the 90th anniversary of the Titanic sinking, his book appeared in three more newspapers, The Poughkeepsie Journal, The Journal News and The Irish Voice. A piece on the book previously appeared in The Cornwall Local and the Waterford News & Star. The Belfast Telegraph in Belfast, Northern Ireland has also asked for a review copy. John was interviewed on radio stations WBNR and WLNA on the Titanic anniversary, and station WKNY has requested an interview. Irish film-maker Jim Sheridan of Dublin, Ireland has agreed to take a look at the book.

John Dimes, author of Coincidissonance, will be hosting a book signing at Borders Books and Music in Pentagon City, Arlington, VA on Sunday, June 23rd at 2 PM.

Preditors and Editors 2002 Poll
Carolyn Howard-Johnson's
first novel, "This is the Place," was named among readers' top ten choices in the Preditors and Editors poll of 2002.

Featured Author and Author of the Month
Kelly Steed published a blurb about her novel Stasis, co-authored by Colleen Elliott, on the Writer's Digest (April 2002) Brag Board. She was also the Featured Author for April at Anthologies Online and will be the Artist of the Month (Poet) on Jassmine.com for May 2002.
