Crop Writers Review
Jerry D. Mohrlang, author of Sarawak was
recently reviewed by Tucker Carlson and posted on the
website called Peace Crop Writers. Mr. Carlson called
Mr. Mohrlang prior to the review and asked numerous
questions not only about the writing of Sarawak, but
also about Publish America. In the review, Mr. Carlson

Prompted by the author's promotional efforts, more than
20 newspapers have expressed interest in reviewing Larry
Peterson's forthcoming PA novel, City Editor.

Karen Correll, author of "Saturday Nights

for "Who's Who at the Library" on OPTV-15,
in Oak Park, Mich. Her 15-minute interview about the

writer Paz-Martinez to Speak in El Paso
The author of Inside the Volcano (2001) and
The Rain in Spain (2003) has been invited to speak
at the University of Texas-El Paso on Oct. 25. Mr.
Paz-Martinez, a former writer with The Boston Globe
and the New York Post, will address members of the school's
Journalism Department. In the evening, he will speak
to a local writer's club at the Westin Hotel before
beginning a ten-day tour through a number of Mexican
bordertowns that includes stops in Cd. Juarez, Ojinaga
and Nuevo Laredo. Mr. Paz-Martinez's books are all set
along the Texas-Mexico border. He will be accompanied
by his wife, the actress Elaine Benitez.

Cara Goldsbury and her new book "The

featured on the FOX News Channel's FOX Magazine. The
program was filmed at Walt Disney World highlighting

activities. Included were Disney's Grand Floridian Resort,
the AAA 5-Diamond awarded Victoria and Albert's Restaurant,
the California Grill, and a cruise around the Seven

"Chasing Horses" by Christy Tillery
French has been chosen Book of the Month for October,
2003 by the First Monday Book Club of Hilton Head, South
Carolina. This group consists of 10-12 regular attendees
and meets the first Monday of each month. Their theme
for this year is Southern Authors and most of their
choices are contemporary. They selected "Chasing
Horses" due to a "wonderful recommendation".

accomplished award-winning composers. Composers Charles
Bernstein, Miriam Cutler, Shie Rozow, and Jonathan Wolf
along with the President of the SCL and composer Dan
Foliart all contributed comments to her article. The
Society Of Composers & Lyricists is a nonprofit
volunteer organization with a long and distinguished
history in the fine art of scoring for motion pictures
and television. The parent organization, the Screen
Composers Association, dates back to 1945. Russell’s

falls quarterly just released.

Texas writer Eduardo Paz-Martinez is scheduled
to read from his latest book - The Rain in Spain
- at Laredo (TX) Community College on Saturday, October
11th. Mr. Paz-Martinez also meets with his fans at a
beachfront barbecue in Corpus Christi the weekend of
Oct. 18th-19th. The stops are part of a month-long tour
across South Texas, a part of the world used as setting

Air Force Master Drill Instructor convention
Joe "Tuffy" Tofuri, author of The
Ninth Commandment, and retired Air Force Drill Instructor,
has been selected to be the guest speaker at the Air
Force Master Drill Instructor convention in San Antonio,
TX, October 24th, on awards night. Air Force Master
Drill Instructors comprise only 10% of the total instructor
corps, and are so designated by wearing a "blue
rope" around the crown of their campaign hats.
Joe Tofuri was among the small group of Drill Instructors
who were initially awarded this distinction in 1975.
He was a drill instructor in the 60's, 70's and 80's.
His latest manuscript, Tuffy's Heroes, is all about
Air Force basic training during the Vietnam war.

Beverly Jeanne Scott of Ankeny, has been selected
to be included in a biographical directory published
by Marquis Who’s Who*, the leading biographical reference
publisher of the highest achievers and contributors
from across the country and around the world. Scott,
author of ‘Righteous Revenge’ & ‘Ruth
Fever’, partner in Colonial Builders Inc, and treasurer
of the International Edsel Club, will be profiled in
the 2004 edition of Who’s Who in America, which will

event will take place on October 7 & 8 between the
hours of 7-9 pm at the Barnes & Noble bookstore
in Warwick, RI 1441 Bald Hill Road. A book signing will
follow the lecture. She will also be doing a book signing
at the same store for the general public on October
