Welcome
To The Mille Club!
We
have had suggestions from some of our better selling authors
that we establish a sort of a club for them, for authors
whose books have sold more than 1000 copies. We are indeed
considering establishing such a club, and would like input
from you, our better selling authors, on the matter.
Some
of you have suggested that it could be a forum where marketing
experiences are shared, others have asked us to host an
annual event or dinner for Mille Club members.
Additional ideas would be welcomed.
In
ancient Rome, the word "mille" came to mean
the number 1000 in Latin. Originally it referred to the
distance a Roman soldier typically covered in 1000 paces.
Later, this distance was standardized, and came to be
known as one mile. Today the word is still used to mean
1000 in many languages, including English.
PublishAmerica
feels that this word is appropriate to use as the name
of this new club, consisting of authors whose book has
at least 1000 copies in print.
Soon
you will get your royalty statements. If you find that
your book has sold over 1000 copies and you would like
to join the club, please send an email to us at MilleClub@publishamerica.com.
