We all need reviews, we all want someone to read what we have written and give us an opinion. We really want an honest opinion, but not a caustic opinion that does not take into consideration that it is our first novel, story, putting out our soul,.....thing.
Most of us have not been called upon to do a book review since the teacher said, PLEASE REVIEW SHAKESPEARE'S THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, IN 50 WORDS OR LESS. We fainted.
For me, book reviews are something! If it is a review of my Wooffer, I am wound around the words, gleaning goodness, kindness, happiness, that the person, kind and lovely person, who has taken the time to read my words, spit them back out in their own interpretation and hope that they have seen my vision. Even if they have not seen my 'vision' I am grateful that they took the time to read my book and even more glad that they took the time to say something about it. The saying something about it is most wonderful. Many people may read your words, but the people whom have read them and feel moved to write a review, or a comment to a friend are really the backbone of fame....God help us get to that point of fame that one person exclaimed for us.
I thank every person who ever read Wooffer, but I thank the one's who were moved enough to write what they thought about my book the most. They have fed my heart, validated my soul. It is important to get reviews.
Love,

Your writing is so elegant love the post and agree whole heartedly. Thinking back probably the best review I received was a mixed review. I didn't ask for the review but the individual took enough of their time to sit down read my book and E-mail me their thoughts. They pointed to certain areas of my book telling me their likes and dislikes. Over all it was a good review. What warmed my heart was the fact that I knew this individual was not just telling me what I wanted to hear. They were being sincere, candid, and politely critical of my work. I will always remember their words and I try to incorporate their thoughts into my writing.

Hey ya'll,
Great idea, reviews that is. I think I am behind in that area:
The Release- Daimon's Disguise ( amazon short) I will offer to review anyone's book- but as my time is squeezed already, I can offer to review 1 book now and another in May.
Best Regards
