I am new here. I am getting my book "The Burning Bush" published. I have got to the Author's Questionare step. I have recived my ISBN#. I was wondering. Can you submit the ISBN# to search engines before your book is published or do you have to wait? Or can you do it at all? I am new and want to learn as much as I can before my book is in print. I know I will be spending a lot of time on here learning. I have enjoyed my experiance with this message board already. I am learning so much. I love this place and all of you have been so helpful to me so far. Thank you all and God bless you.

You can submit it, Tabitha, but I'd advise you to wait until the book is finished and up on Amazon, B&N, etc. And get a website right away so the search engines can direct people there. I use Freewebs and have had very good luck with it. Later, after the book is out, spend a few bucks and get your own domain name. It will help with getting on the search engines.

Hi Dick,
How do you go about getting on a search engine? Where do you go and what do you do? Do you have to pay for it?

To Tabitha and Elisabeth,

I used this site:

http://www.freewebsubmission.com/

It worked well for me. It only took about a week for my site to start showing up on search engines. The title of my book is Knighthawke. It is a very common name in the sci fi fantasy genre. If you type knighthawke into Google either my amazon.com page or my website is at the top of the list, so I have been pretty pleased with the results. There are some sites that ask for you to pay for search engine submission but thus far I have not found that necessary.

Hey Jerry,
How long did it take for you to notice more traffic on your website?

I am in the process of having my book published and was wondering about how to get on the search engines too. I'm really glad this topic was posted and an answer to my question!

Hello Tabitha;

I just read your posts; and I visited your website. Writing is
the deepest expression of a person's inner most feelings and
soul. We all travel down the road of life and are confronted
with obsticles and challenges. I have just written my first
book called Moon Over Key Biscayne. It is a Science Fiction/
Fantasy novel with a spiritual edge. The book has a modern
flare; and brings A spiritual awareness to the reader. I have
a great affinity with the concept of the "Burning Bush".
The Bible clearly makes the Burning Bush a vessel by which
many can be saved. My book is still in production but I have set up a website. Congratulations. Exclamation

I took a look at your website. I love it, it looks great. I would love to read your book. You should let me know when it is in print. I will keep in touch and I hope all goes well for you. I am just in the ediotoral process now, then I believe after that process it will be the book cover design. I am so excited. I hope all goes well for you. Keep in touch.
