Hi,
I need to know for sure does PA take unsold books back or not. I got in touch with the manager of Barnes & Noble here in town and she was very nice.
She said she would be glad to talk about a book signing if she knew that PA would take any unsold books back. I told her I was pretty sure they did. Then I thought about it and couldn't remember for the life of me. Please somebody help!! Confused Confused

I asked the same question and got the answer that, in my case anyway, my book The Ridge would be returnable starting March 1 if ordered through Ingram.
I think it involves a short waiting period or something like that, but I can only tell you about my case.
Hopes this helps some

Same experience here. PA pre-signing literature proclaims all of their books are returnable. However, they don't mention that there is a waiting period. My book came out November 1, 2006. I frantically tried to arrange book signings for Christmas but no one would even listen to me - my book was not returnable.

I was told, by PA, that it was scheduled to be returnable on January 1st, 2007. Well, great, but I did lose a little bit of my initial elation and excitement ... until I got that first scheduled book signing. Then it all came back.

Just drop an email to "Author Support" at PA and they can tell you when yours is scheduled to be classified returnable and available through Ingram as well as "Black & Taylor" I think it is.

You will achieve returnable status, the only question is when.
